Richard Rudge is an artist and writer living and working in the United Kingdom. Inspired by science fiction, folklore and the changing world he focuses these creative inspirations into comics. He has worked as a freelance artist for several years, creating bespoke artwork for clients, and exhibiting his own artwork and comics at comic conventions around the UK.
Richard has self published several print and web comics, ranging from thoughtful science fiction with his ‘WAYFARER’ series as well as more experimental projects such as ‘An Unwritten Adventure’. Richard's work has been part of several acclaimed comic anthologies, such as 'Video Games For Good’, winner of the SICBA Best Single Issue for 2017, and “Off The Mark” in 2018. “Off The Mark” was kickstarted as part of the “Create the Break” art class run by veteran comic artist John McCrea.

Richard is currently working on a graphic novel project “It All Comes Together, It All Falls Apart”, experimenting with abstract paintings and organizing and contributing to the “Panel Pushers” comic collective.
“It All Comes Together, It All Falls Apart” is a graphic novel exploring repeating cycles, through abstract illustrations depicting the birth and death of the universe, endlessly repeated with life as we know it changing every single time. The project is exploring feelings about trying to learn from mistakes and breaking destructive cycles. By using a uniform page format “It All Comes…” is experimenting with how to use comic paneling to stretch and squash time, to make pages feel more urgent or slow paced. The aim is to slowly build meaning from the visual cacophony of the artwork.
